Job Description:TheHVACTechnician (Facility Technician)is responsible for managing andmaintaining the facility’s infrastructure and systems to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operations. This role involvessupporting the operation and building systems, coordinating maintenancetasks,assisting facility projects, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards. 

Responsibilities: 

• Facility Management: 

• Assist inthe operation and maintenance of building systems, includingHVAC systems, MAU, RAU, Scrubbers, Chillers, Boilers, cleanroom environment (Temperature & Humidity Control and Pressure Control), UPW, PCW, Vacuum & CDA system. 

• Ensure the facility ismaintained in a clean, safe, and efficient condition. 

• Follow maintenance schedules and procedures for all facility systems. 

• Ensure the facility system isconsistent operating atoptimum level. 

• Work with colleagues on facility improvement projects, including renovations, upgrades, and repairs. 

• Preventive and Corrective Maintenance: 

• Assist with implementing preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment downtime and extend the lifespan of facility systems. 

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to building systems and equipment. 

• Perform regular inspections and audits toidentify maintenance needs and potential improvements. 

• Support with emergency repairs when necessary. 

• Safety and Compliance: 

• Ensure that all facility operationscomply with local, state, and federal safety regulations and standards. 

• Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments toidentify and mitigate potential hazards. 

• Assist in the development and enforcement of safety protocols and emergency procedures. 

• Energy and Waste Management: 

• Assist in monitoring andmanage energy consumption to promote sustainability and reduce costs. 

• Implement energy-saving initiatives and best practices. 

• Track utility usage and costs,providingreports on energy efficiency and cost-saving opportunities. 

• Ensure proper waste management and complianceto EPA requirements 

• Documentation and Reporting: 

• Maintainaccurate records of maintenance activities, facility inspections, and equipment performance. 

• Ensure documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements. 

• Assist in preparing reports related to facility operations and maintenance status. 

• Team Collaboration: 

• Work closely with facility staff, management, and other departments to address facility needs and support operational goals. 

• Provide training and support to staff on facility-related procedures and safety practices. 

Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification orassociate’s degreein Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field ispreferred. 

• 1-2 years ofexperience in facility management, building systems maintenance, or a similar role. Solar panel industryis a plus. 

• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC systems, MAU, RAU, Scrubbers, Chillers, Boilers, cleanroom environment (Temperature & Humidity Control and Pressure Control), UPW, PCW, Vacuum & CDA system. 

• Familiarity with safety regulations. local laws and regulations as well as industry standards. 

• Strong knowledge of building systems, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. 

• Familiarity with safety regulations and industry standards. 

• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills. 

• Proficiency in facility management software and tools. 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Certification in facility management (e.g., Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP)). 

• Experience with energy management and sustainability practices. 

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements specific to the industry or facility type. 

• Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a plus. 

• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends. 

• Willingness to continuously learn and update skills. 

Working Conditions: 

• Standard office environment with frequent visits to facility areas and production environments. 

• May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations. 

• May involve working outside of regular hours to address facility issues or oversee projects.
