What You’ll DoÂ
As a Swim Instructor (Group & Private), you will:Â
Provide high-quality swim instruction using LHMFC’s established progressions and teaching methodsÂ
Create a safe, encouraging, and fun learning environment for swimmers of all agesÂ
Use “show, tell, and do” techniques to teach proper skills and stroke developmentÂ
Adapt lessons to each swimmer’s abilities and goals using clear, age-appropriate languageÂ
Prepare lessons that keep students engaged, progressing, and excited to returnÂ
Maintain a clean and organized pool deckÂ
Demonstrate knowledge of our emergency action plan and perform lifesaving duties if necessaryÂ
Work both independently and as part of our supportive aquatic teamÂ

What We’re Looking ForÂ
You’re a great fit if you:Â
Are at least 16 years oldÂ
Are enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about teachingÂ
Communicate well with children, adults, and parentsÂ
Can keep classes on track with confident class-management skillsÂ
Are dependable, organized, and self-motivatedÂ
Are excited to teach both group and private lessonsÂ
Are able to maintain confidentiality and professionalismÂ
Are comfortable learning and using basic computer programs (Microsoft Office, scheduling tools, etc.)Â
Preferred or Required CertificationsÂ
Group lessons: National aquatic/swim instructor certification preferredÂ
Private lessons: National aquatic/swim instructor certification requiredÂ
Heart Saver AED/CPR preferred (or must obtain within 60 days of hire)Â
Must complete LHMFC Swim Instructor Training within 30 days of hireÂ

Shift:
Variable (United States of America)Schedule: Variable shifts, with variable start times and hours depending on Aquatics services and operations.
Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs. Pay rates and scheduling practices may vary by department.
