Are you studying computer science, software engineering, AI, or a related subject- and looking for more than an ordinary student job? Do you enjoy understanding complicated problems, building software that real people use, and exploring how AI and agents are changing the way software is developed?

We are looking for a Student Software Engineer to join the engineering team behind Omnidocs Create, its integrations, and related engineering projects.

You will work as part of our engineering team on real product challenges across frontend and backend development. You will also help us develop how we use AI and agentic engineering workflows to understand systems, investigate problems, plan solutions, implement changes, and verify results.

You do not need professional experience with our technology stack. We care more about how you think, how quickly you learn, and how you approach problems when the answer is not immediately obvious.

The basics

• 12–15 hours per week during the semester.
• Flexible scheduling around classes and exams.
• Possibility of additional hours during quieter study periods and holidays.
• Competitive salary.
• Opportunities to grow into greater technical ownership and responsibility.

What you will work on

• Contribute to established production codebases and new engineering projects.
• Build and improve functionality across our products and integrations, primarily using .NET, C#, and Blazor.
• Connect frontend experiences to backend APIs and services.
• Work on integrations and related engineering projects, sometimes involving unfamiliar systems or technologies.
• Help turn complex business rules and document workflows into understandable product experiences.
• Investigate defects, improve tests, and strengthen code quality.
• Work with product, design, and engineering colleagues to understand problems and shape solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, planning, technical discussions, and product demonstrations.
• Use AI tools and agents to explore code, plan, prototype, implement, test, and document.
• Critically evaluate and verify AI-generated work rather than accepting it at face value.

As you grow, you may take ownership of features and engineering projects from problem definition through delivery.

Who we are looking for

• Are pursuing a relevant degree at ITU, DTU, DIKU, or another comparable institution.
• Have a foundation in programming from your studies, personal projects, employment, or open-source work.
• Enjoy breaking complicated or ambiguous problems into understandable steps.
• Take initiative when you encounter something unfamiliar.
• Can explain your thinking, including uncertainty, mistakes, and trade-offs.
• Are interested in AI-assisted and agentic ways of working.
• Want to learn through feedback, collaboration, and practical responsibility.
• Can communicate effectively in English.
• Are able to work regularly from our Copenhagen office.

You do not need previous professional experience with Blazor or .NET. Experience with another programming language or web framework can provide an equally good foundation.

Helpful, but not required
Experience or experimentation with any of the following is a plus:

• C#, .NET, Blazor, React, TypeScript, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
• Web applications, APIs, databases, automated testing, or Git.
• UX, accessibility, responsive design, or component libraries.
• Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or other AI development tools.
• AI agents, MCP, automation, or AI-assisted prototyping.
• University, personal, hackathon, or open-source software projects.

We do not expect you to arrive as an expert. We expect you to be interested enough to investigate, experiment, and learn.

The company
For over 20 years, Omnidocs has been redefining productivity in document generation. Born as a consultancy and developed into a SaaS business, we help organizations create better documents and presentations through software, automation, and design.
Today, the Omnidocs Group has almost 200 professionals across several international offices. You will join a collaborative environment where you can work closely with experienced engineers, product colleagues, and designers while developing your own technical skills and responsibilities.

What we offer

• Meaningful responsibility in live production software.
• A dedicated engineering mentor and regular feedback.
• Close collaboration with experienced engineers, product colleagues, and designers.
• Flexibility around classes, exams, and university projects.
• Opportunities to explore and develop modern AI and agentic engineering workflows.
• The possibility of connecting university projects or a thesis to relevant engineering challenges.
• Career development opportunities and the possibility of continuing with Omnidocs after graduation when there is a mutual fit and an available position.
• An informal workplace in the heart of Christianshavn.
• Lunch scheme, social activities, sports activities, and other employee benefits.

How to apply
Please apply through our recruitment system and upload your CV. Links to GitHub, a portfolio, or projects are welcome but optional.
As part of the application, we will ask you a few short questions about your education, something you have built, how you approach unfamiliar problems, your experience with AI-assisted development, and a situation where you took ownership.
You are welcome to use AI tools when preparing your application. We are more interested in authentic examples and personal reflection than perfectly polished answers.
Please use the dedicated application link rather than sending your application by email.
Omnidocs encourages applicants of all backgrounds to apply. We are committed to building an inclusive and diverse team.

Processing of personal data
By registering in our HR system, BambooHR, and uploading your application and CV, you accept that Omnidocs stores the registered data and information included in the uploaded documents. All information is used solely for recruitment purposes and will be deleted within 12 months of upload.
