Key ResponsibilitiesÂ
Onsite Search OptimizationÂ
- Own day-to-day management and optimization of onsite search, including search rules, boosting, slotting, relevancy, and merchandising strategies.Â
- Monitor search performance and identify opportunities to improve search results, product discovery, conversion, and revenue.Â
- Analyze search reporting to identify trends, anomalies, opportunities, and areas requiring optimization.Â
- Partner with merchandising, digital, technology, and analytics teams to ensure search results align with customer intent and business priorities.Â
- Develop and execute search optimization strategies based on customer behavior, product performance, seasonal trends, and business objectives.Â
- Continuously identify opportunities to test and improve search performance.Â
AI Shopping Assistant & Digital Optimization ToolsÂ
- Manage and optimize AI-powered shopping experiences, including the AI Shopping Assistant.Â
- Own inputs, content, configuration, and ongoing optimization of the experience.Â
- Analyze performance to understand customer engagement, conversion, revenue contribution, and overall site impact.Â
- Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience, expand use cases, and increase adoption and effectiveness.Â
- Monitor performance and proactively recommend enhancements, tests, and new opportunities.Â
- Stay current on emerging AI and ecommerce optimization capabilities and identify ways to improve the customer journey.Â
Product Recommendations & PersonalizationÂ
- Support the ongoing optimization and performance management of product recommendation experiences across the site.Â
- Monitor product recommendation performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, conversion, revenue, and product discovery.Â
- Analyze placement and product performance to identify opportunities for optimization and testing.Â
- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that improve the effectiveness of recommendation experiences.Â
- Continuously evaluate opportunities to expand and improve recommendation capabilities across the customer journey.Â
Analytics & ReportingÂ
- Develop and maintain recurring reporting and performance insights for search, recommendations, and AI shopping experiences.Â
- Analyze data to identify trends, performance opportunities, and potential issues.Â
- Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations for business partners and leadership.Â
- Use Excel and other analytical tools to manipulate, analyze, and interpret data.Â
- Learn and apply ecommerce KPIs such as conversion rate, revenue per visitor/session, average order value, engagement, revenue contribution, and other site performance metrics.Â
- Develop a strong understanding of how onsite discovery and optimization tools contribute to overall ecommerce performance.Â
What We're Looking ForÂ
- 1–3 years of experience in ecommerce, digital merchandising, digital analytics, site optimization, search, marketing, or a related field; equivalent analytical or relevant experience will also be considered.Â
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns and turn data into actionable recommendations.Â
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including the ability to work with large datasets, manipulate data, identify trends, and create meaningful analysis.Â
- Exceptional attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership.Â
- Curious mindset with a natural desire to understand why something is happening and what can be done to improve it.Â
- Comfortable learning new technology, platforms, and tools.Â
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manageÂ
- multiple priorities and detailed workstreams.Â
- Ability to think creatively and "outside the box" when identifying optimization opportunities.Â
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.Â
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners across ecommerce, merchandising, technology, analytics, and marketing.Â
