What you'll do...
Role summary:As Principal Product Manager for the AI Builder Experience Platform, you'll lead the strategy, roadmap, and execution of the shared AI platform powering builder experiences across Walmart Global Tech. You'll own core capabilities spanning runtime and routing, context and memory, observability, reliability, and extensibility across Web, IDE, CLI, Slack, Automations, and emerging surfaces. Partnering with engineers, product teams, and platform leaders, you will turn recurring needs into scalable capabilities and establish rigorous AI evaluation frameworks. Success means delivering a trusted, extensible foundation that improves AI quality, accelerates developer workflows, reduces friction, and enables developers and AI agents to work effectively.
About the team:
The Builder Experience Product Management team, part of the Global Technology Platform, transforms how Walmart develops and operates software. Combining AI, developer tooling, automation, governance, and engineering intelligence, the team enhances the software development lifecycle from planning to operation. They create shared platform capabilities reusable across products and collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to address key developer challenges. The team defines product strategy and roadmaps, establishes measurable outcomes, and builds scalable solutions that enable Walmart teams to adopt, extend, and innovate on the platform efficiently.
What you'll do:
- Lead the Core AI platform: Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the shared intelligence and runtime capabilities powering Walmart’s AI developer experiences.
- Build for scale: Create reusable capabilities for routing, context, memory, reliability, observability, and extensibility across Web, IDE, CLI, Slack, Automations, and more.
- Grow the ecosystem: Define how teams and partners integrate with and extend the platform without creating fragmentation.
- Improve developer outcomes: Use customer insights, telemetry, and rigorous AI evaluations to improve quality, task success, productivity, and reliability.
- Drive alignment: Turn complex technical needs into clear priorities, product requirements, and decisions across engineering and product teams.
What you'll bring:
Minimum qualifications
- 8+ years in technology, including 5+ years in Product Management.
- Experience leading developer, AI, infrastructure, or other technically complex platforms.
- Strong technical fluency across APIs, cloud services, distributed systems, and developer workflows.
- Proven ability to translate complex technology into scalable products and measurable outcomes.
- Experience using data and customer insights to prioritize roadmaps and influence engineering, product, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience with AI/ML or LLM platforms, agentic systems, developer tools, or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience designing APIs, SDKs, extensibility models, AI evaluation frameworks, or multi-product platform capabilities.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00 - $286,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
