Role summary:

As the Business Information Security Partner (BISP), your core responsibility will be to enhance the delivery of secure technology to our customers. This role, reporting to the Information Security Partners organization, will act as the key bridge between organizations and strategic partner to predict future needs of an aligned line of business and accelerate secure delivery.

What you'll do:

Serve as the primary Information Security leader for assigned technology teams, aligning security priorities with business objectives and engineering needs.
Embed scalable, automated security practices throughout the software development lifecycle to strengthen security posture.
Identify security opportunities, define maturity roadmaps, establish risk ownership, and drive accountability for reducing security risk.
Translate business needs and risks into actionable security requirements, using data and expertise to inform senior leaders and product teams.
Partner across Technology and Information Security to prioritize work, resolve cybersecurity issues, manage risk decisions, anticipate future needs, and lead escalations involving security incidents.

What you'll bring:

10+ Years of experience in leading technology or Information Security
Lead execution of complex security initiatives, prioritizing critical issues, driving root-cause resolution, managing stakeholders, and ensuring accountable delivery.
Identify, assess, and remediate security risks and vulnerabilities using metrics, risk frameworks, and continuous improvement practices.
Provide leadership across security governance, regulatory compliance, policies, standards, and industry frameworks, translating requirements into practical risk reduction.
Provide strategic direction by aligning security priorities, resources, investments, and operational improvements with business objectives and customer needs.
Build strong teams and partnerships by developing talent, influencing stakeholders, managing vendors, and fostering accountability, integrity, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Bentonville, Arkansas US-09050: The annual salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $260,000.00
Herndon, Virginia US-10710: The annual salary range for this position is $156,000.00 - $312,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 6years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Option 2: 8 years’ experience in cybersecurity risk or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.

Certification in Security+, GISF, GSEC, CISA, CISSP, CCSP, or CISM, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related area and 4 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
