About the roleÂ
 In this position, you willbe part of a teamthatproactively manages the company’s litigation and dispute matters andgovernment investigationstoprotect andminimize risktoFIS.We are seeking an experienced litigation counselwho canstrategically manage these matters,continuously improveour litigation strategies andoperations, and proactively identify and mitigate risk throughout the company.  Â

About the teamÂ
 The FIS Legal team is comprised of approximately 200 attorneys and paraprofessionals worldwide who enjoy being an advisor to and partner with our businesses to help the company achieve its goals.  We work collaboratively with each other and with our business colleagues to solve problems in an effective and pragmatic manner.  We view our role as one of supporting our business leaders in a variety of legal matters, and we strive to assist our businesses in meeting their objectives with sound, reasonable and well-considered legal counsel. Â

What you will be doingÂ
•Be responsible for acomplex docket of litigation, disputes, and investigations from various government agencies includingpreparing case assessments,advising and executing oncase strategy, coordinating investigations and discovery, and managing external counsel.Â
•Proactively managecollections activity,subpoenas, liens, levies, and garnishments the company to drive efficiencies and alignstrategy. Â
•Shares best practices and learnings with others in the organization, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth to ensure high standards of legal service.Â

What you bringÂ
A law degree, such as a Juris Doctor or other comparable degree and admission to practice law in the appropriate jurisdiction. Â
Eight (8) or more years of legal experience with a primary focus onlitigation and government investigationsin a corporate in-house or law firm environment.Â
Experience with litigation, disputes,andgovernment investigations.Â
Experience with mergers and acquisitions, subpoenas, liens and levies, and collection matters.Â
Experience within fintech,information technology,technology and services outsourcing,financial services, banking, payments,and capital markets,strongly preferred.Â
Strongcommunication, research, writing, analytical, and negotiationskills.Â
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Â
Ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business colleagues on complex legal questions relating to variousissues.Â
Experience advising clients in a complex, diversified,matrixed,global organization.Â
Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced business environment anddriving complex projects to completion.Â
