Maintenance Engineering Manager

Pact Contract Manufacturing is a leading manufacturer across homecare, personal care and industrial liquid filling. Operating a fast-paced 24/5 manufacturing environment, we're looking for an experiencedMaintenance Engineering Manager to lead our maintenance team, safety and to uplift reliability and operational performance across Pact's Fairfield homecare site.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring equipment availability, leading preventative, predictive and planning maintenance programs, managing technical teams and contractors, problem solving and  supporting continuous improvement initiatives across our manufacturing operation.

About this opportunity

You'll play a key role in ensuring our production lines operate safely and efficiently while driving a proactive maintenance culture that is well planned and focused on reliability and performance.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading site maintenance activities, contractors and maintenance trades.
• Driving preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Managing SAP PM / CMMS systems, maintenance schedules and work orders.
• Leading root cause analysis and breakdown investigations.
• Supporting production through planned shutdowns, changeovers and equipment commissioning.
• Ensuring correct layout of equipment
• Driving equipment reliability, uptime and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Managing maintenance budgets, spare parts and contractor performance and CAPEX.
• Leading safety, compliance and continuous improvement programs across the site. 

About You

To be successful, you'll bring:

• Maintenance engineering experience
• Proven maintenance leadership experience within FMCG, food, packaging, pharmaceuticals, personal care or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience managing maintenance teams and contractors.
• Sound knowledge of preventative maintenance, reliability improvement and shutdown planning.
• Experience using SAP PM or CMMS systems.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A hands-on leadership style with a focus on safety, accountability and continuous improvement. 

An engineering qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics or a related field.
