Global HSE Lead

We are looking for a Global HSE Lead with deep knowledge of International and EU Dangerous Goods compliance, to strengthen our global operations.

What is your role?

As a Global HSE Lead, you serve as the technical authority for Dangerous Goods (DG) across our EU and international distribution network and warehouses. You work closely with Operations, Logistics, Sales, Category&Buying, Quality, HSE and Regulatory teams to interpret legislation, and ensure our working methods meet all relevant EU directives, local legislation, chemical regulations, and transport requirements.

This is a strategic, non-people-leading role in which you influence stakeholders through expertise and collaboration. You translate complex regulatory frameworks into clear, actionable policies and help building a strong, consistent safety culture across our sites in multiple EU countries.

In this role, you act as the key expert driving safe, compliant, and future‑proof operations across our network/across multiple EU countries. This includes:  

1. Strategic Dangerous Goods (DG) Expert

You will drive policies for and safeguard compliant and safe handling, storage, and transport of dangerous goods. You play a key role in:

• Drive policies for new onboarding of DG assortment and safeguard DG compliance
• Supporting local DGSA for ADR, IMDG and IATA to ensure correct DG product classification, shipment labelling, transport documentation, storage and handling.
• Conducting Supplier Audits and Kramp audits and inspections in regard to DG.
• CSR expertise and support
• Developing policies and requirements for dangerous goods management systems.
• Perform and participate in Stakeholder Management

2. EU Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Compliance

You ensure our operations meet the highest EU safety standards. You make impact by:

• Being the go‑to expert on EU Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
• Translating regulatory updates into policies, requirements and standards.
• Running EU‑wide HSE audits and improving local procedures.
• Supporting new product introductions with safety insights.
• Making policies and standards on warehouse safety design and hazardous materials storage.
  

Who are you?

You are an experienced EU Dangerous Goods professional who enjoys working independently and influencing others through your expertise. You are passionate about building a strong and consistent safety culture across the organization.

You also have:

• Good knowledge of EU safety, chemical, and transport regulations concerning Dangerous Goods.
• Experience working across multiple countries and with different stakeholders.
• The ability to lead projects and influence people without direct authority.
• Experience developing and improving safety policies, procedures, and standards.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• A continuous improvement mindset and a passion for making operations safer.

We offer an attractive salary of €7,798 - €9,530 gross per month, depending on your experience and qualifications.
