You as a Security Coordinator will:

  • Obtain/maintain appropriate clearance through Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Contract Security Program (CSP).

  • Obtain/maintain ACSO role through PSPC.

  • Responsible for daily oversight /maintenance of site security plan in order to ensure compliance on the site.

  • Information Technology – Microsoft Suite, Data base, Access Control systems, I-pads, cameras, wireless devices, CCTV monitoring software, document control.

  • Work location – active construction site (office trailers – free parking).

  • Maintain list of all personnel on site - clearances/Certificates, expiry dates, badges.

  • Assist with control procedures of sensitive/protected/classified assets (Receive, log, and track/transmit sensitive/protected/classified information and assets).

  • Provide Security briefings and keep records according to both client and ED requirements and standards.

  • Provide continuous monitoring to mitigate risk of incidents/breaches at site.

  • Participate in security and ED team meetings.

  • Familiarity with security investigations and report writing.

  • Assist in the process of obtaining required security designations (DSC, DOS, FSC).

  • Assist in the creation of PSOS forms for sponsorship of Subcontractors’.

  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of SRCL’s, RFVs, Control Goods for PSPC.

  • Assist with clearance process for all area ED personnel and subcontractors (creation, duplication, renewal, terminations).

  • Coordinate site visits and security guard escorts for guests, visitors and subcontractors.

  • Oversee and coordinate Guard Force Team.

  • Experience with using Access Control System, creating badges, monitor CCTV systems.

  • Data Base administration – creation, updating, controlling designated and classified files.

  • Security Document and records management – receipt, tracking, distribution, audits.

  • Manage all aspects of access and maintain security access list for the site.

Is this the right role for you?

  • Experience working as an Alternate Company Security Office (ACSO) working with PSPC submitting. various clearance requirement is considered an asset.

  • Experience in classified document management.

  • Experience working in a Security Access Control environment is considered an asset.

  • You work positively within a team to achieve a common goal of completion of the project.

  • Excited to learn new skills, rules and regulations within the security portfolio.

  • Salary range for this role is $65,000 - $75,000 CAD.
