DevOps Team Leader (Core Team)

We are looking for aDevOps Team Leader (Core Team) to drive our DevOps vision, infrastructure strategy, engineering productivity, and operational excellence across the organization.

In this role, you will lead a team of6 DevOps engineers and work closely with R&D teams to design, build, and operate scalable, reliable, and efficient infrastructure and development platforms.

This is ahands-on leadership role with significant technical ownership and cross-organizational impact.

The role follows ahybrid work model, requiring on-site presenceone day per week in Rehovot and one day per week in Tel Aviv.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and drive theTechOps and DevOps strategy, roadmap, standards, and best practices across the organization

• Design, implement, and maintainshared and cross-team DevOps platforms and infrastructure solutions

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of DevOps engineers

• Own and continuously improveCI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, deployment processes, and developer tooling

• Partner with R&D teams to improvedeveloper experience, engineering productivity, deployment velocity, and operational efficiency

• Drive high standards ofreliability, scalability, availability, observability, security, and operational readiness

• Own and evolvemonitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response capabilities

• Provide technical leadership and influencecross-team infrastructure and architectural decisions

• Identify infrastructure bottlenecks and operational risks and drive improvements from design through production

• Establish reusable solutions, automation, and standards to reduce operational overhead across engineering teams

• Participate in production incident handling and continuously improve operational processes based on lessons learned

Requirements:

• At least2 years of managerial experience.

• At least 6 years of hands-on DevOps experience in production environments.

• Proven experience designing and deliveringinfrastructure and DevOps projects end-to-end from scratch.

• Strong hands-on experience withAWS, including technologies such asEKS, IAM, CloudFront, RDS, MSK, networking, and related services.

• Strong Kubernetes experience in production environments.

• Strong experience withInfrastructure as Code, particularlyTerraform.

• Strong scripting and automation skills usingPython and/or Bash.

• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring platforms such asGrafana, VictoriaMetrics, Datadog, Coralogix, and AWS CloudWatch.

• Strong experience withGitLab CI/CD.

• Experience troubleshooting complex production infrastructure and distributed systems.

• Proven ability to take ownership and drive technical initiativesfrom design through production.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple engineering teams.

• Willingness to participate occasionally inPagerDuty/on-call escalation as second-line production support.

Nice to Have:

• Previous experience leading, mentoring, or technically guiding engineers; formal people-management experience is not required.

• Experience building or operatinginternal developer platforms or shared infrastructure services.

• Experience with cloud cost optimization and infrastructure capacity management.

• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystem tools related to GitOps, autoscaling, observability, networking, orsecurity.

• Experience with Pulumi.

• Experience withenv0 and Terragrunt.
