Airbus is undergoing its most significant industrial evolution yet. The backbone of this change involves replacing hundreds of legacy tools with a unified, state-of-the-art digital ecosystem, rolling out core enterprise system upgrades to pave our road to tomorrow. Concurrently, Airbus is embarking on one of its most critical industrial and supply chain integrations to date. As we absorb the operations of a vital Tier 1 aerostructures supplier, our objective is to integrate this complex business into the core Airbus organization while safeguarding the daily continuity of operations and the global supply chain.

Central to this monumental effort is the expansion of our Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) system, transitioning to a unified SAP S/4HANA digital ecosystem. The modern industrial landscape is characterized by immense challenges: massive production ramp-ups, rapid technological acceleration, and the inherent complexity of integrating cross-functional ERP deployments across diverse sites. The “Digital for Operations” business department serves as the cornerstone of our industrial transformation, where we aim to simplify, streamline, prioritize, and unlock the full potential of the latest digital technologies for the benefit of our global operations.

To steer us into the future, we are seeking a Deployment Manager who combines deep, battle-tested change management expertise with a forward-thinking mastery of digital and AI technology. In this role, you will strategically architect and drive the deployment of the new ERP environment across our global operations. As your first assignment, you will orchestrate the Belfast integration following the M&A of its aerostructures activities, moving current operations into our brand-new SAP S/4HANA ecosystem.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM 

• Strategic Leadership & Roadmap Integration: Shape the ARP strategy to integrate SAP S/4HANA solutions into the long-term roadmap. Partner with the D&IM team to align strategic direction, and continuously update themes to guide the execution of projects and decommissioning.
• End-to-End Project & Financial Governance: Manage all business activities across SAP S/4HANA projects through their full lifecycle. Secure quality, delivery, and financial targets (P&L) while actively managing risks, resource allocation, and the Make-or-Buy strategy.
• Methodology, Execution & Standards: Implement the SAP Activate methodology and enforce a strict governance framework to limit SAP Standard deviations close to 0%. Benchmark continuous improvements and drive Security-by-Design compliance.
• Stakeholder Management & Change Leadership: Coordinate a diverse, senior stakeholder panel across various functions and countries. Drive cultural change to shift organizational mindset toward embracing SAP Standard without customization, and champion a NextGen operating model for digital transformation.

ABOUT YOU

Essential

• A relevant degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a project management environment OR Lesser qualification and a minimum of 15 years’ experience in a project management environment.
• Methodology: Mastering LBIP and agile project management frameworks.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional project deployments (ideally on ERP  SAP S/4HANA) within a complex, multi-site industrial or manufacturing environment.

Desirable

• Change Management: Exceptional soft skills with a "battle-tested" ability to manage cultural shifts, resist customization requests, and align senior stakeholders across matrix organizations.
• Autonomy & Collaboration: Ability to work independently within the business department while maintaining strong strategic links with the Digital team & the broader ARP program.
• Tech-Savvy: Forward-thinking mindset with an understanding of how to leverage cutting-edge technologies (such as AI and data analytics) to optimize ERP workflows.
