Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud

We are recruiting a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud to combine technical leadership and hands-on engineering across Java, REST APIs, and AWS Cloud services. Responsibilities

• Own the team’s technology solutions and remain accountable for delivery outcomes
• Offer technical thought leadership to guide sound team decisions
• Remove technology obstacles across all phases of the project lifecycle
• Align with architects and the CTO organization on governance and best practices
• Address functional and non-functional requirements to deliver high-quality solutions
• Contribute to strengthening designs, architectures, and frameworks
• Oversee quality for data models, API contracts, architecture, frameworks, and code
• Assist with effort estimates, planning, priority setting, and dependency discovery
• Provide leadership that drives collaboration across teams and stakeholders
• Serve as a hands-on expert in AWS Cloud Native microservices architecture

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience designing and developing front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
• Strong background in Java, Node.js, and SpringBoot technologies, including APIs and microservices
• Extensive experience with AWS Cloud services such as ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and Cloudwatch
• Knowledge of DynamoDB and Aurora databases
• Experience working with agile methodology and API testing tools
• Understanding of monitoring tools like Splunk
• Client-facing communication skills with strong presentation capability
• Attention to detail and ability to work in ambiguity while maintaining structure
• Leadership experience collaborating with teams like Vanguard Database, CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives
• Competency in removing technical fuzziness and delivering clear solutions

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Python programming
• Ability to work with cloud-native data pipelines
• Experience building solutions that align business acumen with API economy
