Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud

We are hiring a Lead Software Developer - Java with AWS Cloud to drive technical delivery for Java-based microservices and AWS Cloud components in a fast-moving environment. You will guide architecture and implementation for REST APIs and front-end integrations, ensuring robust quality and clear direction—apply today.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for the team’s technology outcomes and delivery commitments
• Set technical direction and mentor the team toward sound decisions
• Resolve technology impediments as they arise throughout the lifecycle
• Coordinate with architects and the CTO organization on governance and best practices
• Balance functional and non-functional needs to deliver high-quality solutions
• Shape and refine designs, architectures, and frameworks
• Review and uphold quality of data models, API contracts, architecture, frameworks, and code
• Guide estimation, delivery planning, prioritization, and dependency tracking
• Promote effective collaboration across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise in AWS Cloud Native microservices architecture

Requirements

• Extensive experience of 8+ years designing and developing front-end applications, microservices, and REST APIs
• Strong knowledge of Java, Node.js, and SpringBoot technologies for APIs and microservices
• Advanced proficiency with AWS Cloud services including ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, SQS, and Cloudwatch
• Solid experience working with databases such as DynamoDB and Aurora
• Comfort with agile methodology and API testing tools in day-to-day delivery
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Splunk
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills
• Detail-oriented approach with the ability to work through ambiguity while applying structure
• Leadership experience partnering across teams including Vanguard Database, CTO organization, and API Economy initiatives
• Clear capability to reduce technical ambiguity and produce crisp solutions

• Working knowledge of Python programming
• Exposure to cloud-native data pipelines
• Background building solutions that align business acumen with API economy
