YOUR NEW ROLE

Lead the delivery, governance and engineering of Identity and Access Management (IAM) services, ensuring identities, access and entitlements across the enterprise are managed securely, provably and efficiently. Accountable for IAM operations, access governance, audit remediation and application onboarding – and personally accountable for building the data pipelines, control logic, automation and analytics that make those controls measurable. A hands-on builder as well as a people leader: writes the code, proves the control works, and turns the evidence into executive and regulatory assurance.

•   Lead end-to-end IAM services – Joiner, Mover, Leaver, Fulfilment, Reconciliation, Certification and Access Governance
• Ensure service commitments, operational KPIs and control obligations are met; act as escalation point for complex issues
• Design, build and maintain the pipelines that reconcile identity, entitlement and access-request data into one trusted source
• Govern user access reviews, entitlement/role ownership, attestatio and privileged access controls
• Lead remediation of audit findings, orphan accounts and stale access, and automate the detection so they do not recur
• Govern application onboarding, lifecycle management and decommissioning within identity governance platforms
• Own the control logic as a versioned codebase: author the rules, test them against known cases and publish measured accuracy
• Build and operate the reporting layer that lets Risk, Audit and division heads self-serve control evidence
• Partner with Engineering, Security Architecture, Risk, Audit and Application teams to deliver secure, scalable IAM solutions
• Lead, mentor and develop IAM engineers and analysts across multiple locations

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

15+ years across Identity & Access Management, Identity Governance or Cyber Security, including team leadership and operational service delivery. Tenure alone is not sufficient: candidates must evidence systems they personally designed and built, and be able to walk through the code, the data model and the control logic.

• Fluent in Python and SQL with working JavaScript – builds production pipelines, classification engines and dashboards
• Hands-on with IGA/PAM platforms (SailPoint, Saviynt, CyberArk, NetIQ), their APIs and bulk extracts, plus Active Directory/LDAP
• Builds the tooling personally – designs and writes the pipelines, control logic and analytics that IAM governance depends on
• Deep understanding of IAM standards, regulatory obligations, audit requirements and control frameworks including APRA CPS 234
•        Treats controls as code – version-controlled rules, reproducible builds and measured false-positive and false-negative rates
• Proven ability to disprove a control – isolates defects that wrongly clear or wrongly flag access, and sizes the population affected
• Owns data integrity end-to-end – merge-not-replace, deduplication and verified reconciliation so no record is silently lost
• Proven people leadership – leads, mentors and develops engineers and analysts across multiple locations
• Turns large-scale control evidence into executive and regulatory narrative that withstands challenge

Qualification Requirements

Tertiary qualified in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Engineering or a related discipline.

Industry certifications highly regarded (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, ITIL, or IGA platform certifications such as SailPoint/Saviynt).
