OCI Security & Identity Architect

Expectations and structure of the role:

Need an Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, specifically Identity Cloud Services (IDCS)

Project focus: to embed on an Oracle Fusion ERP implementation effort that is ongoing at the client.

20 hrs/week. M-F working in regular business hours during the day.

A big bonus if that person also has familiar with Entra ID as that is what this client uses as their primary identity provider for authentication and user provisioning into the system.

• What are the key expectations and responsibilities for the 20 hours per week?

• • This person would sit within the first line of business as the security liaison for the program security and controls team. There are elements of the below that are already completed but may require some expansion along with the project scope
  • This person would be responsible for the following activities:

• • • Entra ID integration with application and platform services for user authentication, provisioning, and lifecycle management.
    • Development of logging and monitoring requirements at a platform layer and integration with the client's Threat Detection and Logging tool stack.
    • Collaborate with client's domain management and web application firewall to build vanity URL capabilities and integration with client Web Application Firewall infrastructure.

• • Client is the implementor for this project. This role will work closely with the implementation team and first-line business security and controls team to implement cyber requirements within OCI. They will liaison with business teams and project manage the cyber requirements that apply to each area of the platform.

• Will the person also have to be on call?

• • Generally, no. Occasionally, the person may have some off hours work to support a change window that impacts security.

• Could this role realistically be done as a second job, primarily during evening hours?

• • No, this requires standard US working hours. Location is okay to be anywhere in US

• Is there potential for the role to evolve into a full-time, 40-hour-per-week position in the future?

• • Potentially. That level of support is not required at this moment but the implementation has 2 years to go. If we have a strong candidate to present, I can work with the client to see if that's an option on the table.

• What is the expected duration of the project?

• • 6 months beginning end of September.

• Is this primarily a technical role focused on OCI/IDCS or are you also looking for someone with functional Fusion ERP experience?

• • Functional ERP experience helps some but is not a hard requirement. Client is responsible for ERP role design and implementation. What is needed is understanding of how Entra ID interfaces with the identity layer of the ERP system to enable automated role provisioning and user lifecycle management.
