Responsibility

Here is a non-exhaustive list of main tasks for this role: Linguistic tasks: 
• • PerformLQA reviews, adhering to quality guidelines and production timelines. 
  • Handlearbitrationsand drive linguistic consensus for optimal results. 
  • Performglossary and TM updates within Smartling environment, following the guidelines provided by the quality team. 
  • HandleClient review(from non-linguists) feedback exchange and implementation. 
  • Process linguisticfeedback from QA testing and implement changes as needed. 
  • Provide linguistic and culturalconsultation as requested by the client. 
   Quality Management tasks: 
  • • Liaise with Language Specialist and translation teams (via emails & meetings) to share constructive feedback and drive overall languagequality improvement. 
    • Liaise withclient stakeholders (via emails & meetings) to discuss linguistic matters and offer consultation in a clear & well-substantiated manner. 
    • Maintainreference materials,training documentation and meetingnotes. 
    • Answer linguistic queries adhering to outlined query management processes. 
    • Proactivelymonitor language quality performance via LQA report, take action toaddress issues in a timely manner, and flagquality risks to the quality team. 
    • Work on internal and external RCAs andQIPs, as instructed by the quality team. 
    • Proactively assess and suggestasset improvements, considering their impact on end users as well as the associated effort (time & cost). 
    • Critically prioritize and track QM tasks based on urgency, impact and client needs, adhering to relevant guidelines and designated time allocation. 

Education, Skills and Experience

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Translation Studies, Language Arts, or a related field. Experience:Minimum 5 years of professional experience in translation, localization, or linguistic services.At least 2 years of experience as a Language Lead or in a Senior Linguist position. Language Skills: Native or near-native proficiency in Urdu-Pakistan, with excellent command of English (additional language proficiency is a plus). Technical Skills:Familiarity with translation and localization tools (e.g., CAT tools, TMS systems).Strong knowledge of linguistic quality assurance processes. Soft Skills:Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment. Preferred Qualifications:Experience working in the localization/translation industry for global Music Service provider.Knowledge of Pakistani cultural and regional linguistic nuances.Certification in translation or localization tools is an advantage. Must:The candidate must be flexible to work on any type of content (Including sensitive content), music, video, genre, domain etc.
