Corporate and Transactions Team - Legal Analyst
Protective Life Corporation has an opening in its Birmingham, Alabama corporate office for a legal analyst to join the Legal Department and work with the Corporate and Transactions Team in connection with regulatory and corporate governance matters. Â
Key Responsibilities
•   Research requirements and prepare legal and regulatory filings
•   Communicate with state insurance regulators and internal stakeholdersÂ
•   Support corporate governance activities for Boards of Directors and committees, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, coordinating with presenters, preparing meeting materials, drafting resolutions, and drafting meeting minutes
•   Maintain organized records
Skills, Abilities and Knowledge Required
•   Excellent written and oral communication skills
•   Careful attention to detailÂ
•   Highly organized with proven time-management skills
•   Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders
•   Proficient in Microsoft Office SuiteÂ
Preferred Qualifications
•   Experience working in a highly regulated industry, particularly the life insurance industryÂ
•   Experience supporting corporate governance processes and board operationsÂ
•   Paralegal certification
•   Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Â
Minimum Requirements
•   Minimum of three years of corporate paralegal experienceÂ
•   Associate’s degree and high school diploma or equivalent Â

Protective’s targeted compensation for this position is $57,500k-$75,000k. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to, job location, skills, and experience. The range listed is just one component of Protective’s total compensation package for employees. This position also offers additional incentive opportunities through an annual incentive based on individual and Company performance.
