Position Summary
At Parker Poe, the Talent Team helps shape the moments that matter most in the employee experience, from a candidate’s first interaction with the firm to onboarding, professional growth, engagement, and day-to-day support. The Talent Assistant will play an important role in this work by providing thoughtful administrative, operational, and logistical support for firmwide talent initiatives.
This full-time, in-office position is based in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office and offers the opportunity to work alongside a collaborative, service-focused team while gaining broad exposure to recruiting, onboarding, employee engagement, talent operations, and special projects across Parker Poe.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Talent Operations & Administrative Support
- Provide administrative and operational support acrossTalent Team functions, serving as a helpful first point of contact for employees, attorneys, candidates, and vendors and connecting inquiries with the appropriate team member when needed.
- Coordinatelogistics for candidate interviews, Talent Team meetings, training, events, and firmwide programs, including scheduling, room reservations, technology needs, catering, materials, attendee communications, set-up, and follow-up.
- Maintain accurate tracking systems and prepare recurring reports, status updates, and project materials.
- Assist with budget tracking, invoice processing, vendor coordination, and expense management.
- Monitor Talent Team specialized in-boxes and respond to or route inquiries in a timely, professional, and service-focused manner.Â
- Handle employee, candidate, and firm information with sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Use technology, including AI tools where appropriate, to streamline administrative work, improve processes, and enhance program coordination.
- Help identify practical improvements to workflows, service delivery, and Talent Team operations.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the evolving needs of the Talent Team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of two years of administrative, human resources, recruiting, or client service experience and an associate’s degree, or the combined equivalent of experience and education. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience working in a law firm or professional services environment is preferred.
- Exceptional organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, agendas, notes, and other communications with minimal direction.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, shifting deadlines, and time-sensitive requests in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Sound professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee, candidate, and firm information.
- Strong client-service mindset with a proactive, concierge-style approach to anticipating needs, solving problems and delivering a positive experience.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with candidates, attorneys, business professionals, and colleagues across offices.
- Resourceful, independent self-starter with curiosity, strong critical-thinking, analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams and basic Adobe.
- Familiarity with HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred; experience with Dayforce and FloRecruit, a plus. Graphic design platform experience a plus.
- Comfort using AI tools and emerging technology to improve processes and enhance the employee experience.
- Availability to work overtime and occasionally beyond routine office hours.
