The Senior Accountant is a high-visibility role and trusted business partner responsible for supporting the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the company’s financial reporting and analysis. Supports complex accounting activities, including close processes, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and accounting for complex revenue arrangements. Working cross-functionally, the Senior Accountant drives accurate and timely close, financial reporting, audit readiness, and GAAP compliance, with key focus areas including month-end close, revenue recognition, accounts receivable and contract-to-cash activities, capital projects, and delivering financial insights that support strategic decision-making.

Duties and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

• Prepare monthly close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and resolution of reconciling items
• Prepare and analyze journal entries for revenue recognition, multi-element contracts, accruals, prepaids, intercompany transactions, and other key financial activities
• Build and maintain reports, test system changes, and apply automation and AI tools to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy
• Review customer contracts and amendments to determine proper GAAP treatment for revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and related accounting
• Support accounts receivable and contract-to-cash processes, including aging reviews, reconciliations, issue resolution, and analysis of collection trends and reserves
• Lead accounting for capital projects, including grants, incentives, fixed assets, depreciation, and disposals
• Support external audits by responding to inquiries and preparing audit schedules, financial statements, and footnote disclosures
• Analyze financial results, identify trends and variances, and provide recommendations to management
• Drive process improvements and strengthen internal controls
• Perform other related duties as required

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Accounting or related field required
• Experience with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, balance sheet analysis, and financial statement preparation required
• Strong working knowledge of GAAP, including experience applying accounting guidance to complex transactions required
• Experience with ASC 606, including accounting for complex revenue arrangements, multi-element contracts, revenue recognition, deferred revenue, and related reconciliations required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of progressive professional accounting experience required; public accounting experience preferred
• Experience with multi-entity structures and consolidated financial reporting preferred
• Hands-on experience with Workday (e.g., general ledger, customer contracts, capital projects, intercompany, and reporting) strongly preferred
• Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve accounting workflows, analysis, or reporting, consistent with company data and security policies preferred
• Experience supporting accounts receivable and contract-to-cash processes, including aging analysis, reserves, and issue resolution preferred
• Experience preparing accounting memos, implementing policies and procedures, and supporting internal controls and external audits preferred

• Experience in biotech, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated environments preferred
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred

• Employment Status: Full time (1.0 FTE)
• Hours of work: 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.
• Days worked: Monday - Friday
