Your responsibilities
Take ownership of the technical management of your vessels, ensuring highavailability,reliability, andperformance.
Challenge technical execution, decision-making, and processes — continuously striving for improvement and operational excellence.
Ensure compliance with DEME’s long-term mission, vision, and strategy for your vessels.
Be accountable for theprofit and loss of your vessels, optimizing revenue, utilization, and maintenance with a strategic, long-term mindset.
Define and implement along-term maintenance strategy in collaboration with the Master and Chief Engineer.
Oversee and manageMaintenance Intervention Projects, led by the Fleet Intervention Project Manager.
Act as the primary liaison forTechnical Engineering,Fleet Interventions, andReliability Engineering, fostering effective collaboration and best-practice sharing across the fleet.
Oversee and manage themaintenance budget for each vessel.
Ensurecompliance with all applicable legislation and regulations related to vessel operations and safety.
Visit vessels regularly to ensure alignment, build strong relationships with onboard teams, and maintain operational oversight.
Your profile
You hold atechnical degree (e.g. Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field), or have equivalent experience gained through years of hands-on work in the maritime industry.
Proven experience inleading technical teams and managing technical operations in amaritime or engineering environment.
Strongtechnical expertise and understanding ofmarine systems, propulsion, electrical, and hydraulic installations, as well as maintenance methodologies.
Strategic thinker with the ability todevelop vision, make informed decisions, and apply effectiverisk management.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, reports, and performance metrics to drive improvement and reliability.
Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders — both onshore and onboard.
Familiarity withfinancial processes, procurement, contract management, andproject management.
Willingness to bebased at our headquarters withregular vessel visits to stay connected to the operational reality of your vessels.
