Quality Engineer

Join our dynamic team at Alleima Special Metals, part of the global Alleima Group, where innovation meets precision manufacturing. Within our Specialized Business Unit, we produce high-performance titanium tube products for demanding industries such as Aerospace and Medical.

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Quality Engineer to join our team at our Production Unit in Kennewick, Washington. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving quality excellence throughout the organization by leveraging strong attention to detail, analytical problem-solving skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Your Role

As a Quality Engineer, you will lead and support quality planning activities for new and existing products, including process validation, risk assessment, and quality documentation while supporting the organization's quality objectives. You will provide guidance on quality requirements and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with industry, customer, and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate quality issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor quality and process performance, using data to drive continuous improvement and reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, Laboratory, and customer-facing teams to resolve quality concerns and improve processes.
  • Review inspection and testing results to ensure products meet specifications and meet customer requirements.
  • Support internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits and address any resulting findings.
  • Partner with suppliers to resolve quality concerns and improve supplier performance.
  • Maintain accurate quality documentation, records, and traceability systems.
  • Champion a culture of quality, safety, compliance, and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  • Provide quality expertise and guidance across manufacturing, product development, and operational activities.

About You

You are a quality-focused engineering professional who enjoys solving problems, improving processes, and driving results. With strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you thrive in collaborative environments, take ownership of your work, and are committed to continuous improvement. You are motivated by delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality products while helping teams achieve operational and customer success.

You hold a bachelor's degree in mechanical, metallurgical, industrial, or a related engineering discipline and bring at least four years of quality engineering or related experience in a manufacturing environment. Your background includes quality planning and improvement methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, process validation, or First Article Inspection (FAI), along with experience supporting quality management systems, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.

Experience in aerospace, metals, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments is preferred. Additionally, experience with quality documentation and inspection processes, quality management software, and professional certifications such as ASQ or Six Sigma are a plus.

What you can expect from us

  • The salary range for this position is $80, 169 – $111, 600 annually with a 10% bonus and annual merit eligibility.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance as well as company paid disability and life insurance beginning on day 31.
  • A 401 (K) retirement savings plan begins on day 31 and provides a 5% company contribution with company match of 50% for the first 6% you contribute, all immediately vested.

Due to applicable export control regulations, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States and qualify as a U.S. Person, which generally includes U.S. citizens, lawful permanent residents (Green Card holders), and certain other individuals authorized under U.S. export control laws to access ITAR-regulated information and facilities. Applicants must also be able to work for any employer in the United States without current or future sponsorship for employment visa status.
