Your role and responsibilities:

The Quality Specialist provides overall quality support for customers, manufacturing, and engineering to increase customer satisfaction, decrease warranty and scrap cost and improve overall product quality. You will interact with other departments to efficiently meet customer needs and support production by utilizing Lean Principles to develop/improve processes that meet quality standards and customer demands.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.
• Develop, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes, standard work, training programs, engineering changes, and process controls to support production excellence.
• Drive root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, capability studies, and process compliance to ensure product quality and process reliability.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges, support production operations, and achieve plant and company objectives.

Qualifications for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree (Engineering preferred) with minimum 1 years OR Associate’s degree with minimum 3 years OR High School Diploma with minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience in machining, winding, assembly, or related production environments.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to read, interpret, and revise engineering drawings, schematics, and manufacturing documentation.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills, with knowledge of SPC, ISO 9001 standards, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, collaborate cross-functionally, and drive process improvement initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with SAP/BUS systems preferred; strong presentation and technical documentation skills.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt preferred), ASQ certification or willingness to obtain, and a track record of delivering innovative, accurate, and results-driven solutions.
• Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
