POSITION SUMMARY

The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, material handling, inventory control, and transportation logistics. This role drives operational excellence through strong leadership, safety compliance, inventory accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives. This individual serves as a key leader within the Supply Chain organization and is responsible for developing talent and improving processes.

The successful candidate is skilled at driving accountability, influencing cross-functional stakeholders, and building strong partnerships across the organization. He or she possesses a relentless focus on safety, inventory accuracy, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, while fostering a culture of engagement, ownership, and results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, storage, material movement, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory transactions.
• Establish and monitor KPIs related to throughput, productivity, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, and service performance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout warehouse and logistics operations. Analyze data to identify opportunities for increased productivity, reduced waste, and improved service. Implement standard work, process controls, visual management, and operational best practices.
• Optimize warehouse layout, storage utilization, and material handling processes. Ensure proper use and maintenance of material handling equipment.
• Oversee all inbound and outbound transportation activities. Ensure timely receipt, processing, and shipment of materials and finished goods.
• Maintain inventory integrity through strong transaction discipline and process controls. Lead cycle count program and physical inventories; identify root causes of inventory variances and implement sustainable solutions.
• Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with all OSHA and company safety requirements. Establish safety metrics and continuously improve warehouse safety performance; monitor through routine training and audits.
• Lead, coach, and develop a large team consisting of team leads and warehouse associates. Conduct performance evaluations, workforce planning, succession planning, and employee development activities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage frontline employees, management teams, and executive leadership.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Direct Supervision of Shipping/Receiving, Logistics, and Material Handling

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.

• 5-7 years of progressive warehouse, distribution, logistics, or supply chain leadership experience.

• 3+ years of people management experience leading large teams in a warehouse or distribution environment.

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (JDE preferred) and inventory management principles.

• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, warehouse safety standards, and material handling equipment operations.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
