Your Opportunity
Join a team that's committed to creating more inclusive communities. As a Local Area Coordinator, you'll support people with disability, their families and carers to build confidence, achieve their goals, and access the supports they need through theNDIS.
This role supports participants across the Central North Metro region, working alongside individuals, families, community organisations and service providers to deliver person-centred support and help people strengthen their independence and participation in everyday life.
We're growing our team! We have a full-time, fixed-term maternity leave cover opportunity available until 3 September 2027, based at our Mirrabooka office.

Your Key Responsibilities will be to
- Deliver high-quality, person-centred support to people with disability, their families and carers.
- Build trusted relationships with participants to understand their goals, strengths and support needs, and assist them to navigate the NDIS.
- Empower participants to make informed decisions and connect with appropriate community, mainstream, informal and funded supports.
- Collaborate with families, carers, the NDIA, community organisations and other stakeholders to achieve positive participant outcomes.
- Maintain accurate participant records, complete administrative tasks, and meet contractual, legislative and quality requirements.
- Contribute to a collaborative team culture through continuous learning, quality improvement and professional development.
Requirements for Success
- Relevant qualification in Human Services, Social Work, Community Services or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrated experience working within the NDIS, Local Area Coordination, Support Coordination, community services, allied health, or a similar participant-focused environment.
- Strong understanding of the NDIS and the ability to support participants to connect with appropriate community, mainstream, informal and funded supports.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a KPI-driven environment.
- Strong digital literacy, with confidence using client management systems, databases and administrative platforms.
- Ability to meet NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIA onboarding requirements, and hold a current Australian Driver's License with no restrictions.
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
