Position Summary
This role reports to the Associate Director, Global Logistics Solutions (GLS) APAC, and supports the performance and relationships of the logistics network within assigned lanes or sites in the ANZ & PAC region, on behalf of GLS. This encompasses execution of storage, inventory, packaging, labeling, distribution, and transportation tasks, and their associated logistics service providers (LSPs), for Bio/Pharma, Cell Therapy, and Clinical logistics.
The Senior Specialist supports the performance of in-market supply chain nodes, from material pickup to end-customer delivery, on an ongoing operational planning horizon. The role works closely with LSP partners and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant delivery of product, carries out LSP and SLA management tasks, and escalates operational issues to the Manager or Associate Director as required.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the performance of in-market supply chain nodes for assigned lanes or sites, from material pickup to end-customer delivery.
• Execute day-to-day order processing, shipment tracking, and coordination with 3PL/LSP partners, managing storage, inventory, packaging, labeling, distribution, and transportation activities and related records across all modalities (Clinical, Cell Therapy and Bio/Pharma).
• Support LSP operations for assigned lanes or nodes across the product life cycle; support the review of operations manuals, SOPs, and GDP requirements.
• Support internal SLAs and help maintain goods flow across assigned lanes or nodes.
• Manage purchase orders, accruals, and LSP invoice audits, and help resolve cost variations.
• Resolve routine distribution issues and escalate complex matters to the Manager or Associate Director; develop solutions and support corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage redeployments, destructions, returns and recalls in alignment with SOPs; support reverse logistics and complaint handling activities.
• Ensure adherence to GMP & GDP & Internal / External Controls in day-to-day tasks; support GDP activities as defined in relevant procedures.
• Perform import and export activities to ensure timely border crossings in compliance with trade regulations.
• Monitor internal SLAs and shipment/transaction metrics, communicating updates to stakeholders and resolving issues to ensure effective execution.
• Maintain lane mappings to ensure correct pickup, receipt, dispatch, and delivery lead times.
• Liaise with other GLS departments to support implementation of GLS directives and models; support network changes for supply chain nodes, country expansions, and product changes.
• Identify opportunities for work automation and simplification, and support their implementation.
• Maintain GDP documentation and standard operating procedures, supporting audit and inspection readiness; issue and update knowledge repositories.
• Support onboarding and mentoring of junior Specialists/Analysts as needed; train team members and learn others' activities to provide coverage during absences.
• Perform transactions in relevant IT systems in a correct, complete, and timely manner.
• Report and escalate topics to the appropriate levels in a timely manner.
• Provide data and reporting support for distribution KPIs and operational metrics.
Qualifications & Experience
•Bilingual in Thai and English (Business Proficiency) required.
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in SAP, with demonstrated experience using ERP systems to support logistics and supply chain operations.
• 2-4 years of experience in logistics/supply chain operations within a regulated environment, biotech/pharma industry, clinical logistics, cell therapy logistics and/or comparable.
• Strong attention to detail and process discipline in a regulated environment; good working knowledge of GDP guidelines for medicinal products for human use.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills across internal and external stakeholders, with the ability to work effectively with LSPs.
• Experience working with 3PL/LSP vendors and warehouse/transportation management systems.
• Ability to prioritize and resolve routine issues under operational time pressure.
• Travel Requirements: Ad hoc and with notice; minimal (~5%).
