About the Role
The Registered Nurse is an integral member of the multidisciplinary health care team, meeting the diverse needs of patients using contemporary professional best practice standards. You will apply advanced risk assessments, plan interventions, and deliver care that is safe,appropriate and clinically effective.
These positions require high flexibility and availability, as the successful candidates will be placed on a rotating roster across any day of the week (weekends included) and across shifts.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing carein accordance with documented care or treatment plans, whileprioritising workload based on patient needs,acuity and theoptimal time for intervention.
Ensuring all documentation isaccurate and completed in a professional andtimely manner,in accordance withMQUniversityHealth policy.
Participating in the identification,design and implementation of quality improvement activities, including policy review and development, both self-initiated and directed by other members of MQUniversityHealth.
Demonstrating a willingness to work positively within a team to achieve team goals and the provision of excellence in care and service delivery.

About You
You are a clinically skilled and proactive Registered Nurse with a strong surgical background. You bring confidence in advanced risk assessment, clinical decision-making and patient-centred care, and you offer the flexibility and adaptability needed to thrive across a rotating roster within a dynamic acute surgical environment.
Selection Criteria
Surgical nursingexperienceessential.Orthopaedicsurgicalnursing preferred,howeverexperience in acute surgical highly regarded
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Excellentorganisational and time management skills, with a proven ability toprioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment and during critical incidents.
High flexibility and availability to work a variety of rotating shifts across any day of the week, including weekends.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exercise independent professional judgement and critical thinking.
Well-developed computer skills, including the use of electronic medical records systems, Microsoft Word,Excel and web-based research.
