Your Impact in This Role
Â
As part of the Operations Team you will be , responsible for leading the overall operations of the cluster’s plants and ensuring the implementation of Sibelco’s operational and growth strategy in the region.
This role is co-owner of thecluster P&L, driving safety, quality, productivity, cost efficiency, sustainability and performance in line with global standards.
In the role, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Lead all operational activities across the cluster, ensuring compliance with globalHSE, quality and sustainability standards.
- Act as co-owner of thecluster P&L, delivering financial and operational results aligned with the strategic plan.
- Implement operational and growth initiatives, promoting continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Define organizational structure and staffing needs for Operations and Business Services Teams (Finance, HR, Procurement).
- Develop people capabilities, succession planning and career progression within the cluster.
- Partner with Business Services to ensure effective execution of shared processes.
- Co-lead theCluster Performance Triangle Meetings with the Cluster Commercial Director.
- Provide strategic mining support to theVP SAM, contributing to mining economics assessments and decisions on mine development.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mining, Production, Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical, or related fields).
- Strong leadership experience in industrial or mining operations, preferably within multinational companies.
- Proven experience managingP&L, operational KPIs, HSE performance and cost efficiency.
- Fluency inEnglish (mandatory).
- Strong leadership, decision-making and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, multicultural and matrix-based environment.
- Availability for travel.
