Your Role:

• Support students with additional learning needs through individual and small-group instruction, implementing Individual Education Plans and tailored learning activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers to prepare resources, assist with classroom activities and provide pastoral, wellbeing and personal-care support.
• Help students participate safely and positively in playground activities, College events, co-curricular programs, excursions and camps.
• Contribute to a supportive Christian learning community by modelling the College’s values and building positive relationships with students, families and staff

About you:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate at interview a personal faith and commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and a lifestyle consistent with that faith, including an active commitment to a Christian fellowship, as well as the following skills and experience:

• completion (or willingness to commence) formal tertiary education relevant to Special Education (a minimum Cert III in Education Support, or equivalent);
• experience in supporting primary and/or secondary students with additional needs, preferably in a school setting;
• ability to form positive, professional relationships with students and staff;
• strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to use technology;
• knowledge of the Disability Standards for Education;
• exceptional time management skills;
• commitment to professional learning and growth; and,
• ability to contribute to the care of students’ wellbeing and share from a perspective of Christian faith.
