Job Description

We are seeking an experiencedNurse Informatics Specialist to support clinical application enhancements and workflow optimization within the Epic EMR environment. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Informatics teams, clinicians, and Epic application builders to review, analyze, and implement Epic change requests while ensuring clinical workflows remain efficient and compliant.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate Epic change requests submitted by clinical practice teams.
• Analyze requests for feasibility, workflow impact, and the best technical solution.
• Coordinate requests through the approval process.
• Collaborate with Epic application builders to clarify requirements and resolve implementation questions.
• Perform testing, validation, and production support for Epic enhancements.
• Review existing clinical workflows and recommend improvements where needed.
• Ensure successful deployment while minimizing downstream impacts.
• Work closely with clinical stakeholders to optimize Epic workflows.

Required Skills

• Epic Certification or Proficiency in one or more of the following:
  • Inpatient Clinical Documentation (Clin Doc)
  • Ambulatory
  • Orders
• Clinical/Nursing background with strong understanding of clinical workflows.
• Experience supporting Epic workflow analysis and optimization.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with testing and production implementation.
