We are looking for a skilled Systems Engineer to join our innovative team! In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and improving our systems that support our projects. Responsibilities
- ​Assessing systems, determining problems, providing solutions to issues that arise, designing systems, and upgrading systems
- ​Meet with clients to determine their complex copper and fiber-optic structured cabling and telecommunication systems for commercial, campus, or industrial facilities
- ​Follow BICSI design standards.Â
- ​Strong understanding of active network hardware integration (switches, routers, firewalls), and Power over Ethernet (PoE) provisioning to ensure physical cabling infrastructure seamlessly supports logical network performance, hardware routing, and wireless/IP-based building systems
- ​Manage projects and meet deliverables according to a set timeline
- ​Determine the hardware essential to support an organization’s software and computing functions
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of System Engineering experience, or associate degree and 4 years related experience, or 6 years related experience.Â
- ​Proficiency with design software like AutoCAD or Revit, and deep knowledge of fiber/copper networks, pathways, and spaces.Â
- ​Candidates need creativity to imagine innovative, effective new solutions and designs.
- ​Candidates must be able to develop solutions to problems, as well as manage multiple issues at the same time.
- ​Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments and levels
- ​Both oral and written communication skills are vital to relaying important information, training new staff members and communicating about solutions to complex problems.
- ​Understanding and appropriately responding to feedback is an important aspect of this position.
