Fence Installer

Key Responsibilities:

• Install residential, commercial, and industrial fencing systems according to drawings and specifications.
• Measure and mark fence lines, post locations, gates, and other components.
• Dig post holes and install fence posts securely using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Install different types of fencing, including steel, aluminum, timber, chain-link, and mesh fencing.
• Cut, assemble, align, and secure fence panels, rails, posts, and gates.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Ensure fences are level, straight, properly aligned, and securely installed.
• Install and adjust gates, hinges, locks, and other hardware.
• Carry out repairs, replacements, and maintenance of existing fencing.
• Follow site safety procedures and comply with relevant workplace regulations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with supervisors and other trades.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in fence installation, construction, fabrication, or a similar trade.
• Ability to read basic drawings and measurements.
• Good practical and mechanical skills.
• Ability to use hand and power tools.
• Physically fit and comfortable with outdoor and manual work.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work at heights or in varying weather conditions when required.
• Valid driver’s license is an advantage.
• Relevant trade qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
