Coupled with partnerships within the DBS network and with global institutions, we strive to build long-term relationships with our Private Banking clients in Asia by providing them with high quality, timely and extensive wealth management, investment and financial solutions.

Private Banking clients have access to a broad array of investment services from advisory, execution to discretionary portfolio management services.

The Managed Solutions Governance team head is responsible of implementing a robust governance framework and provides oversight over the end-to-end activities across all products/ and services in scope, such as: Discretionary Mandates, Alternative Investments and Wealth Planning.

Responsibilities

As part of the Managed Solutions Governance team, you will:

• Lead a high-performing governance team, setting the strategic direction, priorities, and objectives for the team in alignment with business goals.
• Provide governance relate advise in Management Committees, providing critical challenge, strategic guidance, and sound judgment on risk, and regulatory matters.
• Partner with the Business in the design and implementation of governance frameworks in consultation with other key stakeholders in first and second lines.
• Identify emerging & operational risks from thematic reviews and control assessments, anticipate implications, and implement pragmatic solutions.
• Provide effective oversight to ensure Product teams apply best practices with adherence to internal policies, regulations and bank’s risk appetite at all times.
• Provide coaching and mentoring team members to strengthen technical expertise and critical thinking on complex matters.
• Drive continuous governance improvements, operational efficiencies, and innovation including the adoption of GenAI-enabled solutions.

Requirements

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Accountancy or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in governance, product/risk management within Wealth Management, or Asset Management.
• Strong product knowledge of Discretionary Portfolio Management, Alternative Investments, and/or Variable Capital Companies (VCCs).
• Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop team members in a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong execution, critical judgment and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to assess complex issues, challenge assumptions and make well-reasoned recommendations in ambiguous situations.
• Analytical capabilities, including ability to develop dashboards and data-driven insights to strengthen governance oversight and support strategic decision-making.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
