Central Planning Analyst: Replenishment

JOB PURPOSE:

To be responsible for the analysis of replenishment performance, user support and the operational governance of the RPL policies and processes to the achievement of the Company’s merchandise objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Analysis (30%)

Conducting intensive analysis and interrogation of replenishment performance across the company

2. Reporting (25%)

Proactively reporting on exceptions, risks & opportunities identified in the analysis of product performance and providing the business with recommendations

3. Governance of Replenishment policies and procedures (25%)

4. Training & Development (20%)

Process training and refresher training to all users.

Networking and building relationships with all stakeholders to meet Company objectives:

• Planners and Store Planners

• Heads of Planning

• Systems Analyst

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A Grade 12 Certificate/Matric

• B. Comm./ B. Science degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Stats and/or Business Science

• National Diploma majoring in Internal Auditing and/or Cost and Management Accounting

• National Diploma in Financial Information Systems

• National Diploma/ degree in Business/Retail/Merchandise Management or Accounting/Finance

EXPERIENCE:

Essential:

• A minimum of 3 years Product Planning experience within a clothing retail / FMCG environment

• Working experience in replenishment planning systems

• Working experience in the latest Microsoft packages (Word, PowerPoint & Advanced Excel)

• 2-3 years’ experience in analyzing information

Preferred:

• Additional Store Planning experience (more than 1 year).

• Replenishment experience (2-3 years)

• Previous exposure to and understanding of logistics and supply chain processes

KNOWLEDGE:

• Expert product knowledge on the Just Enough tool or a similar replenishment system

• Knowledge of the Retail merchandise cycle in terms of Buying, Planning, Logistics and Stores

• Knowledge of the retail and merchandise planning processes

• Knowledge and understanding of seasonal and non-seasonal replenishments
