Senior SAP FI/SD Consultant - e-Invoicing

We're looking for aSenior SAP FI/SD Consultant – e-Invoicing to join our team in Portugal in a remote working mode. In this role, you will act as the primary functional expert for aligning SAP FI and SD processes with global and country-specific electronic invoicing and tax compliance requirements. You will focus on ensuring seamless invoice processing from order creation through financial accounting, supporting multi-country e-Invoicing rollouts, and integrating SAP with government or third-party platforms. This is an opportunity to work on strategic compliance initiatives for a leading global brand across multiple jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and validate the end-to-end invoice process from SD billing to FI postings
• Align SAP FI/SD configurations with global and local e-Invoicing compliance rules
• Support the implementation and rollout of e-Invoicing solutions for multiple countries
• Collaborate with FICO, DRC, and integration teams to ensure functional and technical alignment
• Gather and document business requirements related to e-Invoicing and statutory reporting
• Support mapping and integration between SAP and external tax or government systems
• Participate in system testing, defect resolution, and deployment activities
• Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and electronic reporting standards
• Assist with documentation of functional specifications and process design
• Work with SAP DRC experts and middleware teams to validate data flow and connectivity

Requirements

• 6–8 years of SAP experience with strong expertise in both FI and SD modules
• Deep understanding of Order-to-Cash processes and Finance workflows, including sales order processing, billing, AR, tax, and financial postings
• Proven experience in e-Invoicing, statutory reporting, or regulatory compliance projects
• Hands-on support for invoice data flow from SD to FI and AR processes
• Familiarity with SAP DRC (Document and Reporting Compliance) or similar compliance tools
• Exposure to API-based integrations and mapping between SAP and external systems
• Strong skills in requirement gathering, testing support, and deployment assistance
• Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams

• Direct involvement in multi-country SAP e-Invoicing rollouts
• Knowledge of additional SAP compliance solutions or third-party connectors
• Experience with emerging markets regulations and localization needs
