KeyResponsibilities
Youwillsupportthemaintenanceandengineeringteamswhiledevelopingapracticalunderstandingofterminalequipmentandassetmanagementprocesses.Undersupervision,youmay:
- Assistwithmaintenancemanagementactivitiesandinitiativesthatimproveequipmentandsystemperformance.
- Supportpreventivemaintenanceprocesses,equipmentinspections,troubleshootingactivities,andsafetypractices.
- Helpreviewandimproveroutinemaintenanceandrepairchecklists.
- Assistwithdataentry,maintenanceshiftreports,equipmentrecords,andmaintenancesoftwareupdates.
- Applybasicmechanical,electrical,andautomationprincipleswhilesupportingdailyoperations.
- Participateinequipmenttroubleshootingeffortsandhelpidentifyopportunitiestoreducerepetitivebreakdownsandimprovereliability.
- Contributetocontinuousimprovementprojects,safetyinitiatives,andotherassignedlearningprojects.
WhatWeAreLookingFor
- Continuousimprovementmindset:wearelookingforsomeonewhobringsathoughtfulimprovementmindset,curiousabouthowworkgetsdoneandmotivatedtomakemeaningful,sustainableimprovementsovertime.
- Currentlyenrolledinanaccreditedbachelor’sdegreeprogramwithaSTEMfocus,preferablyElectricalEngineering,MechanicalEngineering,IndustrialEngineering,orarelateddiscipline.
- EligibilitytoworkintheUnitedStates.
- Interestinengineering,maintenance,equipmentreliability,andtroubleshooting.
- Basicknowledgeorexperienceincontrolsystems,robotics,maintenance,mechanicalsystems,orelectricalsystemsispreferred.
- ProgrammingknowledgeandproficiencywithPCapplications,includingMicrosoftOffice.
- Strongverbalandwrittencommunicationskillswiththeabilitytocollaborateeffectivelywithothers.
- Goodorganizationalskills,attentiontodetail,andtheabilitytofollowdirectionsinadynamicoperationalenvironment.
Work Schedule:Interns will work full-time during the summer and part-time during the academic year. No overtime.

Thisinternshiprequiresworkingbothinofficeandoperationalenvironments.Youmayspendtimeindoorsusingcomputersystemsandmaintenancesoftware,aswellasoutdoorssupportingequipment-relatedactivitiesandlearningopportunities.Theroleprovidesexposuretoreal-worldmaintenanceoperations,engineeringprocesses,andassetmanagementpracticeswhileadheringtoestablishedsafetystandards.Internsworkfull-timeduringthesummerandpart-timeduringtheacademicyear.Thispositionishourly,non-exempt,andisintendedtoprovidevaluabletrainingandworkexperienceforstudentspursuingacademicstudies.
