Job Description & Summary

A career with PwC’s Data Protection Office offers the opportunity to support the firm’s privacy and data protection programme. You will help promote responsible data handling, strengthen compliance with applicable laws and internal policies, and contribute to safeguarding PwC’s data, reputation and stakeholder trust.

As an intern, you will work closely with the Data Protection Office on day-to-day operations and improvement initiatives. The role provides practical exposure to privacy governance, data incident management, compliance monitoring, awareness activities and the use of technology to support efficient data protection processes.

How will you value-add? 

You will support the team in embedding accountability, strengthening privacycontrols and promoting a positive data protection culture across the firm. Through a combination of operational work and project assignments, you will gain an understanding of how privacy risks areidentified, assessed,monitored and addressed in a professional services environment. 

Key responsibilities:  

  • Support the day-to-day operations of the Data Protection Office, includingmaintaining records, trackingrequests and preparing management information. 

  • Assist with the preliminary assessment and triage of potential data incidents. 

  • Support investigations, documentation, reporting and follow-up remedial actions relating to data incidents or privacy matters. 

  • Contribute to privacy compliance reviews, data protection awareness activities, processimprovements and other team projects. 

  • Useautomation tools, where appropriate, to monitor activities, identifyexceptions and improve operational efficiency. 

   

About you  

  • Able to commit full time fromJan 2027 – June 2027 

  • University students pursuing studies in law, data governance, data privacy, risk and compliance, business, orany other related field. 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel,Word and PowerPoint; experience with data analysis or automation tools is an advantage. 

  • Clear communicator who is resourceful,collaborative and comfortable working with stakeholders acrossdifferent levels of the firm. 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy   

  • Possessa high level of resilience and positive work attitude   

  • Willingness to learn and delivertimely and quality results to internal stakeholders   

  • Good writing skills (English) is a plus
