Job Description

TheSpeech, Language, and Hearing Scienses (SLHS) department is part of the College ofEducation, Health, and Human Sciences at St. Cloud State University. The undergraduate bachelor’s program is on-line asynchronous, which allows a diverse student demographic to be a part of our program. We train speech-language pathologists in our highly competitive, clinically focused CAA accredited master’s program. We offer our students high-impact learning opportunities through our on-campus Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic, community partnerships, clinical research and much more. Our high quality, comprehensive clinical services in speech-language pathology and audiology have been a community asset for nearly seven decades. Specific job duties include:Teaching graduates/undergraduate courses in Communication Sciences and Disorders, advising students, conducting research in area of expertise, participating in departmental and university committees and/or clinical supervision.   

Salary Range:*The salary range denoted is the contractual range; however, salary upon hire is dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree inSpeech-Language Pathology. 

• Possesses CCC-SLP andeligible for the Minnesota licensure(MDH).   

• Worked a minimum of9-months of full-time clinical experience after being awarded the CCC. 

• Evidence ofdemonstrated ability to teach and work withpersons from culturally diverse backgrounds.  

Preferred Qualification 

• Experience across the life span and communication/feeding disorders.  

• Bilingualproficiency. 

• Experience in academic and clinical teaching (on-line, in-person) and/or practice with documented teaching effectiveness. 

• Willing to work with highly motivated students in a CAA accredited speech language pathology department; good rapport with other professionals; experience and sensitivity in dealing effectively with students, clients, and their families. 

• Familiar with the 2020 Standards and Implementation Procedures for the Certificate of Clinical Competence inSpeech-Language Pathology. ​
