Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) – RN, Home Health

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - RN supports the Director of Nursing and Clinical Manager with clinical oversight, staff supervision, quality improvement, survey readiness, and safe home health operations. Authority is exercised only as formally delegated; this role does not replace the Administrator or Director of Nursing.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Support daily clinical oversight, staffing coordination, and interdisciplinary communication.
• - Review documentation, plans of care, physician orders, and quality trends for completeness and compliance.
• - Assist with orientation, competency validation, supervision, coaching, and performance follow-up for clinical personnel.
• - Support infection prevention, incident response, QAPI, emergency preparedness, and survey readiness.
• - Help ensure timely assessments, OASIS processes, care coordination, and escalation of changes in patient condition.
• - Maintain confidentiality and comply with agency policies, payer requirements, and applicable federal and Nevada law.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Active, unrestricted Nevada Registered Nurse license in good standing.
• - Relevant nursing experience; home health, community-based care, supervision, or quality experience strongly preferred.
• - Current BLS/CPR and ability to maintain all required credentials.
• - Knowledge of Medicare home health requirements, OASIS, clinical documentation, and quality improvement preferred.
• - Strong leadership, communication, organization, and clinical judgment.
• - Ability to travel locally; valid driver license and auto insurance when driving is required.
