Essential Job Functions:
- Configure, maintain, and optimize New Relic monitoring, alerting, dashboards, and observability solutions across enterprise infrastructure and applications.
- Enable, test, troubleshoot, and remediate Synthetic Browser and API Monitors to ensure application availability and performance.
- Integrate and onboard data sources using REST APIs, webhooks, and custom telemetry, including Meraki, Azure, AWS, GCP, and Palo Alto platforms.
- Design and implement NRQL-based alert conditions, alert policies, escalation workflows, and notification channels for critical business services.
- Reduce alert fatigue by identifying and eliminating duplicate, noisy, and non-actionable alerts, improving operational efficiency.
- Configure and optimize monitoring for Windows, Linux, network, cloud, and security infrastructure, including event log analysis and critical event monitoring.
- Develop and maintain operational and executive dashboards, service health views, and New Relic Navigator entities and workloads.
- Analyze data ingestion patterns, optimize telemetry collection, and implement approved actions to reduce unnecessary monitoring costs.
- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and monitoring enhancements to improve visibility and service reliability.
- Collaborate with customer stakeholders, infrastructure teams, and vendors to gather requirements, validate monitoring use cases, and support acceptance activities.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, runbooks, architecture diagrams, and handover materials.
- Provide regular project status updates, track risks, dependencies, action items, and support successful service transition and knowledge transfer.
