Hiawatha Communications is seeking an entry-level Network Operations Center (NOC) Technician to join our technical operations team.This isa great opportunity for someone who enjoys technology, problem-solving, and helping others and wants to build a career in networking and telecommunications. 

What You'll Do 

• Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting. 

• Respond professionally to calls and emails from customers and internal teams. 

• Monitor network systems, alarms, and network events. 

• Create, update, and track trouble tickets. 

• Troubleshoot issues using established procedures and tools. 

• Escalate issues to senior technical staff whenappropriate. 

• Keep customers and internal teams informed of issue status. 

• Assist with incident and Reason for Outage (RFO) documentation. 

• Maintain network, customer, and plant records. 

• Assist with network documentation, mapping, service provisioning, and special projects. 

• Participate in an on-call rotation after appropriate training.

Qualifications 

• High school diploma or equivalent required. 

• Anassociate's or bachelor's degree is preferred in information technology, computer science, networking, telecommunications, electronics, or a related technical field. 

• Equivalent technical training, certifications, or relevant work experience will also be considered. 

• IT, networking, technical support, customer service, or telecommunications experience is helpful but notrequired. 

• Familiarity with TCP/IP, fiber optics, or networking is a plus. 

• CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, or similar certification is a plus, but notrequired.
