Network Engineer- Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

• Network Design & Implementation:
  Design, configure, and deploy LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure high availability and performance.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
  Monitor, diagnose, and resolve network issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

• Security Management:
  Implement and manage network security measures such as firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.

• Performance Monitoring:
  Use network monitoring tools to identify bottlenecks, potential failures, and capacity needs.

• Documentation:
  Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, configurations, and change logs.

• Collaboration:
  Work with IT, DevOps, and cybersecurity teams to ensure network reliability and compliance with security policies.

• Vendor & Hardware Management:
  Coordinate with vendors for hardware procurement, upgrades, and support contracts.

• Automation & Optimization:
  Automate routine network tasks and optimize configurations for scalability and efficiency.

• Disaster Recovery:
  Develop and maintain network backup and disaster recovery plans.

Requirements:

• Education:
  Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Experience:
  Minimum [X] years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related roles.

• Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge ofLAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.)

  • Experience withCisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Client network devices.

  • Proficiency infirewall configuration and management.

  • Hands-on experience withnetwork monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios).

  • Familiarity withVPNs, MPLS, VoIP, and SD-WAN technologies.

  • Understanding ofnetwork automation tools or scripting languages (Python, Ansible preferred).

  • Knowledge ofcloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Industry certifications such asCCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA/JNCIS, or AWS Certified Advanced Networking.

• Experience innetwork security and compliance (ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.).

• Knowledge ofsoftware-defined networking (SDN) andnetwork virtualization (VMware NSX, Cisco ACI).
