Job Summary

We are seeking an experiencedNetwork Architect to lead and govern large-scale AWS lift-and-shift migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for migration strategy, architecture oversight, cutover planning, stakeholder management, and ensuring successful migration delivery across multiple waves.

Primary Responsibilities

Migration Strategy & Planning

• Define and drive the AWS lift-and-shift migration strategy, roadmap, and execution plan.
• Review and validate AWS ProServe discovery outputs.
• Align migration wave planning, dependencies, and execution timelines.

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Provide hands-on architectural guidance for AWS target environments, including:
  • Compute
  • Networking
  • Security
• Validate migration designs and technical approaches.

Migration Governance & Delivery

• Own end-to-end migration delivery governance from the Cognizant perspective.
• Manage scope, timelines, milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Ensure migration quality, performance validation, and compliance adherence.

Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with:
  • Client SMEs
  • AWS ProServe
  • Cognizant Offshore Teams
• Drive executive-level status reporting and communication.
• Act as the primary escalation point for migration-related technical issues.

Cutover & Go-Live

• Lead cutover planning and execution oversight.
• Ensure go-live readiness and successful migration transitions.
• Support troubleshooting of:
  • Connectivity issues
  • Configuration issues
  • Post-migration server issues

Secondary Responsibilities

Environment Readiness

• Validate AWS landing zone and environment readiness.
• Collaborate with AWS and client teams on infrastructure preparedness.

Process & Best Practices

• Enforce migration runbooks, SOPs, and best practices.
• Drive adoption of automation using:
  • Migration Factory Frameworks
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Testing & Stabilization

• Support testing coordination and issue resolution.
• Lead hypercare and post-migration stabilization activities.

Knowledge Transfer

• Facilitate knowledge transfer to operations and managed services teams.
• Ensure smooth transition to ongoing support teams.
