Knowledge of VLANs, STP, VTP, HSRP, QoS, and DHCP. Basic knowledge of Cisco routing and switching technologies. Understanding of wireless networking concepts and Cisco Wireless Controllers. Basic exposure to firewalls such as Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or Check Point. Understanding of incident management and ticketing tools. Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams. Willingness to work in a 24x7 shift environment. Strong team player with a customer-focused mindset. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new technologies. Product knowledge: TCP/IP fundamentals; VLANs, STP, and HSRP; basic routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP concepts); Cisco routers and switches; wireless LAN fundamentals; network monitoring tools; basic firewall concepts; SD-WAN fundamentals; and Zscaler fundamentals.
