Camp Fear Guest Attendant
Overview
Event/Park Guest Attendants play a vital role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and enjoyable experience for all guests at Camp Fear. Working in teams of 3-4 per night based on business levels, attendants are responsible for greeting guests, assisting with site logistics, maintaining park cleanliness, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the event.
This is a seasonal part-time position. Potential starting dates as early as 9/15/25 with the first movie night being 9/27/25 and running through 10/31/25. The typical shifts would be from 5pm to 9:30pm to 7pm to 12am. The pay is $15/hr. We ask for a weekly commitment of at least 1 shift per weekend and 1 of the Thursday shifts during the Camp Fear season.
This role is ideal for individuals who are friendly, outgoing, and passionate about Halloween and the haunted season.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly at the park entrance and provide a friendly first impression.
- Escort guests to their assigned tent or firepit sites, assisting with directions and carrying items as needed.
- Light fires at firepit sites when requested or necessary, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Monitor wristbands and enforce maximum occupancy limits at firepits to maintain safety and compliance.
- Upsell and deliver retail items to guests at their sites, promoting additional park offerings.
- Communicate clearly with guests, providing directions, event information, and answering questions.
- Resolve guest concerns and problems efficiently and professionally.
- Monitor the condition and cleanliness of port-a-potties, reporting issues or restocking supplies as needed.
- Use walkie-talkies to communicate with internal teams and security regarding guest needs, business levels, and any potential issues.
- Monitor trash levels throughout the park, pick up ground hazards, and ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of the park to check on guests, address concerns, and maintain a visible presence.
Qualifications
- Friendly, outgoing personality with strong customer service skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to handle minor physical tasks such as carrying items, lighting fires, and picking up trash.
- Experience in hospitality, events, or customer service preferred.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and park procedures.
