KLA advanced computing Labs’ (ACL) mission in India is to deliver advanced parallel computing research and software architectures for AI + HPC + Cloud solutions to accelerate the performance of KLA's products. ACL explores high-risk approaches, pioneering technologies, and novel methods to accelerate KLA’s algorithms and contribute to KLA’s HPC technology roadmap. Located out of the IIT Madras Research Park in Chennai, India, we engage leading thinkers in academia, industry and KLA’s business units to create innovative parallel computing methods to enable KLA’s business growth.JobDescription/Preferred Qualifications
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilledSoftware Engineerto join our dynamic team focused onscientific computing and modelling solutions. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong background inC# or C++, and experience developing on the.NET/Windows platform.
You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of software used formodelling and computational workflows that support CD and thin film measurement systems. You will work closely with scientists and engineers to translate complex computational requirements intorobust, scalable, and high-performance software solutions.
🔹 Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain software applications usingC# or C++ on the .NET/Windows platform.
- Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translatemodelling and computational requirements into robust software solutions.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement ofmodelling workflows and computational systems used in measurement applications.
- Optimize code forperformance, scalability, and efficiency in scientific computing environments.
- Participate incode reviews, testing, debugging, and validation to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Contribute toUI/UX design and implementation where applicable.
- Document software designs, workflows, and usage for internal and external stakeholders.
🔹 Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–6 years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficiency inC# or C++, with strong knowledge of the.NET framework and Windows development.
- Experience inscientific computing, modelling, or computationally intensive applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
🔹 Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience withHigh-Performance Computing (HPC), parallel computing, or distributed systems.
- Exposure toperformance tuning, GPU programming, or compute-intensive workloads.
- Familiarity withUI/UX design principles and tools.
- Experience withAI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Windsurf).
- Exposure tosemiconductor, metrology, or modelling domains is a plus.

Minimum Qualifications
Doctorate (Academic) with work experience of 0 years , Master's Level Degree with work experience of 3 years , Bachelor's Level Degree with work experience of 5 years
