Pima County's Department of Finance & Risk Management is seeking a dynamic, motivated part-time intern to join our Financial Transactions Division. The successful candidate will work in a team oriented environment, learning the day-to-day tasks required to support multiple enterprise systems. In this opportunity you will gain experience extracting data from systems using custom reports and as Excel. You will also be exposed to financial reporting, data analysis, system configurations, system patching, and many other tasks performed by a functional system administrator. We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful, computer-savvy team player with a positive attitude to join our team. Â
This is an in-office position located in Tucson, AZ, and cannot be remote.The Finance & Risk Management Department is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:
Qualifications will be determined by the department head at the time of recruitment.

Preferred Qualifications: (Be specific in describing your experience in your application. Ensure the descriptions provided illustrate your competencies, specifically addressing the required and preferred qualifications.):
Pursuing a bachelors degree (or higher) in accounting or finance.Â
Current junior or senior enrolled at an accredited college or university, or have graduated from an accredited institution within the past 12 months.Â
Experience working directly with customers or in a customer facing role.
Selection Procedure:
Pima County Human Resources Department reserves the right to admit to the selection process only those candidates that meet the minimum qualifications. All applications will be assessed based on an evaluation of the listed education and experience. Candidates meeting the minimum qualifications may be further evaluated/scored against any advertised Preferred Qualifications. The hiring authority will interview and select the successful candidate from a referral list provided by Human Resources. Additional assessments/testing may be required as part of the selection process.Â

Licenses and Certificates: Some positions require a valid Arizona Class D driver license at the time of application or appointment. Failure to maintain the required licensure shall be grounds for termination.
