Provider Compensation Coordinator - USC Care MSO Finance - Full Time 8 Hour Days (Non-Exempt) (Non-Union)

​Assist with payroll processing, respond to payroll-related inquiries, review provider compensation contracts, and perform other duties as assigned. The Provider Compensation Coordinator is responsible for preparing monthly and quarterly compensation invoices for independent contractors, ensuring payments are calculated and processed in accordance with contractual terms.

Departmental Specific Summary



Essential Duties

• Assists with clinical providers, accounting, and HR to research and resolve payment issues and ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Check payroll invoice information for accuracy and ensure all relevant documentation is in order.
• Produce reports for management review.
• Perform analysis of payroll information and investigate pay variances and discrepancies.
• Maintain internal controls, documentation, and reconciliation procedures to support audit readiness and compliance.
• Prepares performance metrics and conduct payment trend analyses to assess the reasonableness of compensation amounts and identify potential outliers.
• Responsible for maintaining security of information: e.g. salary, staff and legal information in a confidential nature.
• Maintain established health system and regulatory requirements and records.
• Perform other payroll related duties and assists with other projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Req Associate’s Degree In a related field
• Or 3 years experience in lieu of minimum education
• Req 1 year experience in hospital or medical group payroll background or experience as a payroll coordinator or similar role.
• Req Intermediate Excel knowledge, comfortable with processing timesheets, and payroll adjustments.
• Req Strong communication skills.
• Req Attention to detail and outstanding analytical and numerical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Pref Bachelor’s Degree In a related field
• Pref Understanding of contractual compensation agreements.

Required Licenses/Certifications: ​ ​

• Req Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained by renewal before expiration date. (Required within LA City only)
