Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experiencedSenior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience acrossservers, virtualization, cloud platforms, storage, networking, backup, and infrastructure security, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and ensure high availability and performance of critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and maintain enterprise infrastructure environments.
• ManageWindows Server and/or Linux systems, including patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Administer virtualization platforms such asVMware vSphere/ESXi, Hyper-V, or equivalent technologies.
• Support cloud and hybrid-cloud environments, particularlyMicrosoft Azure and/or AWS.
• ManageActive Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related Microsoft infrastructure services.
• Configure and maintain enterprisestorage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Support LAN/WAN infrastructure and coordinate with network and security teams when required.
• Monitor infrastructure availability, capacity, and performance and proactively address potential issues.
• Implement infrastructure security standards, access controls, system hardening, vulnerability remediation, and patch management.
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate inhigh-availability, disaster recovery, migration, upgrade, and infrastructure transformation projects.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, procedures, and operational standards.
• Automate routine infrastructure activities using tools such asPowerShell, Bash, Python, or infrastructure automation platforms.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Work closely with application, cybersecurity, network, database, and cloud teams to ensure reliable service delivery.
• Follow ITIL-based processes for incident, problem, change, and configuration management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT infrastructure/system engineering, including significant experience in enterprise environments.
• Strong hands-on knowledge ofWindows Server and/or Linux administration.
• Strong experience withVMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization technologies.
• Good knowledge ofActive Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and identity/access management.
• Experience withAzure, AWS, or hybrid-cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of enterprise networking concepts includingTCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancing.
• Experience with enterpriseSAN/NAS storage, backup, replication, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure monitoring and management tools.
• Strong understanding ofhigh availability, business continuity, security, and infrastructure best practices.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root-cause-analysis skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in business-critical environments.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications such asMicrosoft Azure, AWS, VMware VCP, Red Hat RHCE, Microsoft, Cisco, or ITIL.
• Experience with infrastructure automation usingPowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, Python, or Bash.
• Experience supportinglarge-scale, highly available enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of container technologies such asDocker and Kubernetes is an advantage.
