Under general direction, this job performs moderately complex activitiesregarding monitoring system hardware, network, and infrastructure software performance,solves problems, andsuggests improvements. The purpose of this job is to protect availability and security of computer systems and network connections. They must be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly. They willparticipate in the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with Company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. 

Location:Ottawa, ON 

Salary: $67,900.00-$90,500.00

Your Challenge: 

•  Ensures the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transferin accordance with business needs and industry best-practicesregarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance. Sets end user accounts, permissions, access rights, and storage allocationsin accordance with best practicesregarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.  

• Installs and configures software and hardware. Ensures security through access controls, backups, and firewalls. Performs and tests routine system backups and restores.  

• Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware and software problems on desktops, servers, printers, and workstations and escalatesincidents as necessary.  

• Practices network asset management, including maintenance of networkcomponent inventory and related documentation and technical specifications information. Analyzes system, server, application, network, and input/output device performance. Recommends, schedules, and performs software and hardware improvements, upgrades, patches, reconfigurations, and/or purchases. 

• Implements and help enforce compliance to cybersecurity frameworks applicable to defense suppliers (e.g.NIST SP 800 171, CMMC, ISO 27001). 

Your Expertise: 

• Technical knowledge of network and PC, operating systems and hardware, local area network administration 

• Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience 

• Customerservice orientation 

• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment 

• Experience documenting andmaintaining configuration and process information preferred 

• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills preferred
